Memories of Robert D. Forte
Robert D. Forte, 59, of Hackettstown died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital Founder Division, Philadelphia, after a short illness.
He was born on April 9, 1950 in Newark, to Dominick Forte, who died on Aug. 27, 1997 and Madeline Bragalia. He grew up in Parsippany and lived in Independence Township since 1976. He was a former teacher at Balley Ellard High School and Parsippany High School.
He and his wife, Maryjane Forte were the owners of Forte Photography in Independence Township for over 30 years. He was a graduate of Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., with a degree in business education.
He was a member of Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown. He was a past president of Professional Photographers of New Jersey and member of Professional Photographers of America. He was a former Boy Scout leader with troop 151 in Byram Township.
He is survived by his wife, Maryjane Rosa Forte, who continues to run the studio; son, Robert and his wife, Cheryl of Blairstown; daughters, Amy and her husband Stephen Adamaitis of Great Meadows and Jennifer Forte at home; mother, Madeline Bragalia Forte of Broadheadsville, Pa.; brothers William Forte of Scotrun, Pa. and Gregory of Sparta; sister Donna Cechetti of Frelinhuysen Township; and one granddaughter, Chelsea Forte.
Funeral Mass at Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown was said Friday, Sept. 18 by Father David Pekola. Interment was at Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows under the direction of the Scala Memorial Home, Hackettstown.
